Kid's Launch! is an application launcher written in Hypercard. It's purpose is simply to make the computer a little easier and a little more fun for children to use.
I've noticed children have trouble double clicking on icons to launch a program. Kid's Launch! allows a child to launch an application with just one click of the mouse. But, it does much more than just that. It also has some fun animation and sound.
To configure Kid's Launch! just click on the small "?" in the upper left hand corner. The "?" blends in somewhat with the stars so it may take a second to spot it. There are six launch buttons that may be configured to launch almost any application.
I placed an alias of Kid's Launch! in the StartUp Items folder of my system folder. This way Kid's Launch! is the first thing my child sees when she turns on the computer.
Kid's Launch is freeware so, enjoy! You may distribute Kid's Launch! at no charge as long as this document is also included. If you or your children do use Kid's Launch! I would GREATLY appreciate it if you or your children could either send me an e-mail note or a postcard. It will just take a second and it will truely make my day. Kid's Launch! may be distributed on bulletin boards as long as no charge other than the usual connection charge is made for access to it. Kid's Launch! may NOT be distributed on a "for profit" basis without written permission from the author before it is distributed.
My daughter and I have tested Kid's Launch! for several weeks and we've had no problems. Still, I accept no responsibility for any loss, no matter how it was caused, which may occur in conjunction with Kid's Launch! use. Use strickly at your own risk!
